MBRP’s Pursuit of Excellence

MBRP has been an industry leading manufacturer of performance vehicle exhausts for over fifteen years. Initially, they rose to the top with their innovative B&B Eliminator, which is the highest selling performance snowmobile silencer of all time. Currently, MBRP’s premier exhausts come from their new sport line. This exhaust line features a unique flow through muffler that generates a deeper, mellow sound that improves performance and engine cooling capabilities.

MBRP’s products have become so admired and respected that the racing circuit has been lining up to partner with them. In recent years, BAR1 Motorsports has teamed up with the MBRP line for the American Le Mans Series, and the results have been extraordinary.

What Is the Petit Le Mans?

The Petit Le Mans is an annual race that takes place at the Road Atlanta in Braselton, Georgia. The first Petit Le Mans race was held in 1998 and became one of the first events of the American Le Mans Series. The race, which is one of the most exciting in the country, is a 394 lap affair and is approximately 1000 miles long.

Super fan, Dean Richardson, says of the event, “In the 14 years since the inaugural event. I have had the opportunity to witness some of the greatest drivers and cars compete on one of the greatest natural terrain road courses in the world. In my opinion, one of the things that makes Petit so exciting is the fact that every year the race proves to be an event.”

The Success of MBRP and BAR1

BAR1 and MBRP had won back to back American Le Mans Series races coming into the 2013 Petit Le Mans. They both knew that getting a third straight victory would be incredibly difficult, and adding to the difficulty was intense and fluctuating weather conditions. Team owner Brian Alder said, “Here at Petit, we had our hands full. Dealing with the changing weather conditions during the first quarter of the race, our engineers made great strategy calls, always staying one step ahead of the weather.”

The conditions weren’t enough to quell the superior racing performance of the BAR1/MBRP four man team. In route to the team’s third straight victory, driver Kyle Marcelli set the track’s fastest lap and held off aggressive drivers during the final two laps to seal up an individual victory, as well. The speed, endurance, and power that Marcelli needed to pull off these feats were the result of a great performance vehicle and individual performance parts. As we all know, high performance speed and power is not possible without the proper exhaust system, and that is why MBRP is so pivotal to BAR1 racing’s success at the Petit Le Mans.
