Protect your Cargo with Extang Solid Fold Cover

One of the most popular tonneau covers on the market today is the Extang Solid fold. Apart from its reliable and durable features, Extang Solid Fold is fully assembled thus it is one of the easiest cover to install on your truck. It does not require drilling or tools to install it. In fact, it can be installed in just a few minutes.

The Structure

The structure of the Extang Solid Fold features an aircraft-grade aluminum. It also has a black textured poly-tex paint finish that protects your cover from gradual fading and harmful UV rays. Even though the cover weighs about 50lbs, it is still regarded as the lightweight easy to close and open, easy to install and strongest option. To sufficiently keep your truck bed dry, the solid fold also has weathertuff hinges and seals that prevent water from seeping into your truck.

The Solid Fold also has a sturdy and rust proof clamp known as SpeedKlamps. The SpeedKlamps is manufactured using fiberglass reinforced nylon composite materials. It enables you to remove or install the entire cover within few minutes. Furthermore, the clamps are fixed in places that make them not to consume that valuable space you require most. An additional benefit is that if you have a locking tailgate, you will have the ultimate security and protection for your valuable cargo in your truck bed.

The Simple Steps

These are some of the simple steps to get your Extang Solid Fold cover from the box to your truck. First, make your truck ready by cleaning and emptying all the contents from your truck bed. Put the Solid Fold cover over the truck bed end and then unfold before re-folding every panel. For proper alignment, you may be required to slightly adjust your cover. At the end cab, hand tighten all the SafetyKlamps focusing on the insides of your truck bed. Then unfold the solid Fold cover at the tailgate end. With the tailgate remaining open, pull the SpeedKlamp down in order to secure it to your truck bed wall. It is important that you take your time while securing your clamps and switch between them to make sure that you apply even pressure. This will prevent the cover from shifting from its original position.

Extang offers a variety of tonneau covers. The Extang Solid Fold cover functions well with pick-up trucks in addition to the under-rail bed liners. However, it will fail to fit with over-the-rail bed liners. It is important for you to note that the covers will not work with stainless steel or aluminum bed caps.
