AFE New Products and Performance Features

New Momentum GT Sealed Intake System

AFE is proud to release the new momentum GT sealed intake system for 2011-2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The newly introduced engineered intake system utilizes a smooth one-piece housing that keeps your engine warm for maximum performance. The housing makes use of a unique filter-to-housing interface, which enables your vehicle to use the largest filter while at the same time ensuring an easy installation. The new momentum GT sealed intake system also has a CAD designed intake tube that is specifically engineered to not only fit properly but also unleash all the available horsepower. It comes with all the necessary hardware.

The Design

The GT sealed intake system has a one-piece roto-molded housing that eliminates the needless components in addition to ensuring the availability of the coolest air intake charge. The big clear sight window enables inspection of the filter. Furthermore, the design has patent pending filter to the systems housing interface. It features a massive air filter that is conical and has 5-inch diameter and 8-inch diameter. This air filter ensures increased airflow.

The Performance Upgrade Features

Throttle body spacer

AFE also has a 6061-T6 billet aluminum body spacer that is specifically designed to facilitate intake turbulence in the engines combustion chamber. The turbulence breaks up the fuel that contributes to complete combustion cycle and hence increased horsepower, torque in addition to enhancing throttle response. The AFE power’s serrated/helix combination design further minimizes intake whistle that is common with other Helix exclusive designs.

Wrinkle Black Tubing

The wrinkle black tubing incorporates parts of the 0E air system. However, it makes use of the 31/2 inches one-piece mandrel bent wrinkle black powder coated tube that allows for improved volumetric airflow an aspect that contributes to unrestricted airflow for maximum filter thus enhanced performance.

Performance Filter

The super stock air intake system features two filter options that include the Pro Dry S and Pro 5R filter media. These filter media ensures engines maximum performance making the AFE products the ultimate choice. Furthermore, the progressive layering of each media makes the filter to flow at high levels even if not oiled. These filter media has been effectively tested for filtration efficiency. Installing the AFE systems make your engine to come alive.
