Pro Comp suspension lift kits have garnered a reputation for producing long lasting suspension improvements. One lift adjustment can keep you going for years without needing to add an extra leaf spring. It might be a relatively newer company in the suspension kit market but its twenty two years have seen it start off by utilizing already developed technologies which are in tune with modern vehicle engineering standards. Thus the company has managed to stay ahead of the curve with majority of its products. They are products that serve trucks and SUVs with strength and agility. In so doing, the suspension lift kit components maintain an edge that allows them to match the performance levels exerted in racing situation and the stability demanded in adventurous courses on rocky and desert terrains.

The leveling kits at Pro Comp are made to serve a variety of vehicle models. In fact more models than most manufacturers capture. These include: Chevy, Cadillac, Dodge, GMC, Ford, Hummer, Toyota, Nissan and Jeep to name a few.

Most of these kits include the following components:
  • Coil Spacer
  • Torsion Keys
  • Blocks
  • Tie Rod Reinforcement Key

Coil Spacers

Coil spacers are meant to increase the stretch of your suspension coil and allow you to include larger tires and wheels. This works by placing them inside the shock assembly to compress the spring beyond its normal level and thus create lift. The advantage of coil spacers is that they maintain the OEM geometry of the coils and thus avoid balancing complications.

Torsion Keys

When you have a torsion bar suspension working in your car, a torsion key will come in handy to add unprecedented height to your suspension. As opposed to stock keys, aftermarket torsion keys allow added tension to be exerted on the bar and thus produce higher lifts. Torsion bar adjustment must be done with caution since the heightened center of gravity might need to relocate its load on other suspension components. This means that additional tweaks may need to be done to ensure ball joints, tie rods and the axle are not overworked.

Tie rod reinforcement Key

In response to the need to adjust your tie rod as you create additional lift using your torsion bar, Pro Comp has availed a tie rod reinforcement key in its leveling key packages. Not only do you need to reinforce your tie rod because of an adjusted torsion bar height, the larger tires you intend to fit can also increase stress. The reinforcement kit consists of a pair of hollow rods which strengthen factory tie rod tubes by sliding on top and creating a beefier tie rod wall.

Blocks

Pro Comp’s suspension blocks are offers as rear blocks coupled with U bolt kits. They are made with heavy duty construction and have a black powder coating that makes them durable. These blocks have the design to add that extra stance in the back of your truck to manage heavier cargo with minimal hassle.
