Picking the best REVTEK Suspension

After Revtek developed the Toyota Revtek Lift kit, it became a hit in the market. Every Toyota trucker wanted a set and so it was only natural for the company to serve other car brands as well. So following the release of the Toyota Revtek kit, Revtek’s line-up expanded to kits that serve Chevys, Dodges, Fords, Nissans and Jeeps. These are all the main truck brands that are trusted and loved by American drivers.

The key ideal to reach for when manufacturing these kits was being able to come up with suspension components that were well adapted for off road conditions. Truck experts recommend usage of add-a-leaf spring kits when you are adding minimal height to the truck. Some people tend to avoid leaf kits because if stacked up too high they can produce a rough ride since the added leaves might not even out with the front suspension area.

Adjusting Lift Height with Block kits

An alternative to adding leaves to the kit is installing a block kit. This essentially means fastening blocks in between the leaf spring and the axle to create the addition lift. Aftermarket block lift kits usually raise the suspension 2-8 inches higher. At Revtek you can get block kits for lifts ranging from 2 ½ inches to 4 ½ inches.

Securing New Leaf Spring Kits

The most secure way to give your leaf spring suspension a lift is by installing an entirely new leaf spring kit altogether. Why? With an old set that just gets an additional leaf or two, what you have is a combination of old leaves with new ones. The old ones don’t have the same level of camber as the new ones so the overall effect might not be the same as what you would get with a complete set of fully arched leaf springs. However getting an entire set will constitute pumping in more cash into your budget.

Generally, if you are looking to perform a lift on your truck’s leaf spring system with an inexpensive option then Revtek block kits are the tools to choose for large lifts while the Revtek add-a-leaf does a wonderful job for lower lift adjustments.
