How the Nitto Terra Grappler Achieves High Quality Performance

Nitto’s range of tires is all inclusive and caters to different vehicle types designed for driving on varying road surfaces. These include light trucks, passenger cars and competition vehicles. Multi-purpose Handling

It does this by incorporating a tread design that can give adequate traction in both scenarios. The tread block elements are joined with coupling elements which minimize flex and thus maintain a rigid profile that can maintain good traction and steering response for the vehicle. In addition to this, you don’t have to worry about swaying around on mud when driving on the Nitto Terra Grappler since it has circumferential voids on the tread zone that keep the tire’s contact patch aligned in a straight path. Its five rib tread design also helps maintain directional stability using the mid rib’s traction.

Deep Siping

In addition to great tread block shapes, the Nitto Terra Grappler’s traction is enhanced by the high density siping patterns on the blocks. They are deep and cut in laterally through the blocks to provide that extra amount of resistance against hydroplaning. Thus you can happily enjoy all season and all terrain driving without having to change tires. The sipes are also positioned equally on all sections of the tread zone, from the shoulder blocks to the mid area, thus allowing even wear over continued usage of the tire. Shoulder Block Profile

The shoulders on the Nitto Terra Grappler are made in a way that it produces great off road performance and all season performance as well. The staggered lugs on the shoulder are meant to shovel off sand and loose dirt from the tire’s path. This prevents the tire from skidding on dry surface consequently making the Terra grappler a fantastic performer in dry seasons. The angled lateral voids cutting though the lugs have a different season to overcome. They channel away water during wet seasons and chip away at snow tracts.
