What You Are Really Getting When You Buy a REVTEK Suspension Kit?

On the most basic level, a suspension kit is a set of tools that helps to increase your vehicle’s height. Suspension lifts have been known to increase dent tolerance when the truck meets obstacles on the way. They also provide a greater safety margin when towing large cargo. Before we get into buying one, I think it’s important for you to know exactly what equipment you are purchasing before making an order for a RevTek suspension lift kit.

Suspension kits from different manufacturers have varying sets of pieces in the package. RevTek’s range of suspension products comprises of 17 kits which you can choose from separately. Today I want to cover some of the most useful kits amongst the 17 that are integral to achieving a good suspension lift.

Adding a Leaf

The RevTek add-a-leaf kit does exactly that: It adds a leaf to your leaf spring thus vertically raising the suspension level as a whole. RevTek’s add-a-leaf kits are custom made for Dodges, Fords, Jeeps, Nissans and Toyotas.

Adjusting the Track Bar

RevTek’s Adjustable Track Bar Kit allows you to choose where to position the track bar against the vehicle axle thus maintaining lateral stability even after a lift.

A Kit Made For Axle Forward Conversion

With an Axle Forward Conversion Kit, you don’t have to worry about getting an entirely new front suspension just because you need to lift your truck. The kit helps you finetune you axle to fit in with the new suspension lift.

Blocks to Lift You Up

If you prefer to use blocks to add some inches (four to six) between the truck’s body and suspension then you should grab a set of RealTek lift blocks for your leaf spring system.

Leveling It All Out

After making the lift on your suspension there will possibly be a tilt with the system cause by angled that exist in joints connecting various parts. This tilt is a prime source of instability and vibrations especially when riding on highly uneven surfaces. RevTek’s solution comes in two faces; a differential drop Kit and leveling system/kit. The differential drop kit is essential to eliminating the gradients in your suspension joints while the leveling kit makes sure that the front axle and the rear axle systems are at par vertically by adding a few inches to offset the natural inclination for the truck to lean backwards.

Springs and Shocks

In addition to all the additional tools for producing a lift and stabilizing to even level, RevTek also sells replacement components for parts that already fitted in the car’s original suspension system including shocks, and springs (coil and leaf). You stock springs can be replaced to introduce bigger ones that can achieve the lift you desire but this will need an advanced level of understanding on how the entire suspension’s is built to work and balance out.
