GM’s DEF (Diesel Exhaust Fluid) tank on diesel model HD’s is located behind the passenger side front tire hanging down below the bottom of the frame. This location makes the tank vulnerable to impacts from flying rocks and the potential of being crushed from offroad obstacles. Fabtech offers a 3/16” thick steel skid plate that protects the plastic DEF tank from these types of hazards ensuring puncture and dent resistance for trouble free off-road use. The skid plate has a unique appearance with an embossed Fabtech nameplate with front, side and back wrapping panels that are stitch welded for maximum protection. Only Fabtech offers these features ensuring proper protection for all types of terrain.
