To make a better seal for S-924 high-temp shock fluid, a multi-lipped, spring-tensioned rod seal is employed. The ES1000 comes with a black poly-vinyl shock-boot made to protect the large 5/8" chrome-hardened piston rod, which in turn prolongs the life of the shock.
