Why Pit Bull’s Aggressive Tread Technology Trumps All

Why Pit Bull’s Aggressive Tread Technology Trumps All

Pit Bull is a tire brand that is all about aggressive road performance. It’s evident in their rugged tread profiles, their tire sizes and even the name of the company. One look at these tires and you can tell that this company means business: serious off-road business. And wait till you hear the name of their tread technology; ‘Tear It Up’ technology! And that’s because this is exactly what it does to off road terrain.

Experience in American Quality

Pit Bull makes tires for trucks, ATVs and UTVs. It has been doing this for the past 70 years and the range of models has grown to the right variety for drivers to choose from and get the best performance. Moreover, the tires are developed and produced in the U.S. guaranteeing that preferred American quality.

How Pit Bull Tears It Up for Off-Road Trucks

As you may have suspected already, Pit Bull specializes solely in the off road tire market. The tread technology on these tires is therefore not the conventional kind you are used to. The midribs on the tires carry a multi-varied tread pattern that disallows any elements from hanging while the tire is in motion. Instead, they cut off mud snow and sand streams to create unhindered momentum.

The huge amorphous lugs along the center tread area of the Pit Bull Rocker LT Radial Tires and Pit Bull Rocker LT Bias Tires are good examples of how this technology has been applied. It works especially on these two tires because they are meant to overcome tougher obstacles on rocky terrains.

In addition to this the Tear It Up technology also includes scalloped shoulder lugs that clear away obstacles just as effectively and make cornering as stable as possible.

Pit Bull ATV and UTV Tire Models

There are two main Pit Bull brands that are made for ATVs and UTVs namely the Rocker and Growler. The Growler XOR has five circumferential groove channels that are so wide that mud tracts don’t stand a chance of hanging on to the tire. The lugs on these tires are so enormous they can leave tracks that you can fit your foot into. The amazing bit about this tire is that despite its seemingly chaotic tread pattern it has a directional profile that point the lugs diagonally towards the center of the tread region to create a sharp reinforced edge on the middle lug that cuts through terrain like a shark.

But even with this functionally conscious profile, Pit Bull still went an extra mile to make their ATV tires with rigid material and rounded shoulders to minimize noise. They even added cool sidewall designs that bear chain links and a dog head logo engraved into the rubber.
