Pro Comp Xtreme Alloy Wheels Feature Unique Beadlock Designs

Most Xtreme Alloy wheels from ProComp are designed with beadlock designs around the lip. The distinction between how they have been cast onto the metal determines how your truck wheels appear. The main notable distinction that emerges is a low profile look versus attention grabbing design. Four factors make this distinction possible:

• Beadlock Size

• Beadlock Count

• Beadlock Finish

• Beadlock Position

Beadlock Size

Some of the beadlocks on Pro Comp wheels are larger in size e.g. those found on the Pro Comp 8128 and Pro Comp 7031. However, if you are looking for smaller sized beadlocks on your Pro Comp wheel then the Pro Comp 7098 and Pro Comp 1089 are two of the best examples of more conservative beadlock arrangements.

Beadlock Count

The beadlock patterns on ProComp Xtreme Alloy wheels also vary in number. Certain wheel models such as the 7028 have numerous beadlocks aligned on the rim’s outer lip. This creates an eye catching adornment that quickly gives the wheel a distinct and easy to spot identity. Other Pro Comp wheels such as the Pro Comp 8151 series have far fewer beadlocks lined on the rim and one can literally count them in one go. The effect is a more low profile look that doesn’t scream for too much attention.

Beadlock Finishes

The beadlocks of different Pro Comp wheels vary in color. On some wheels, they match the color of the rim e.g. the black on black color scheme of the Pro Comp 7047’s beadlock design or the machined face beadlock ring on the Pro Comp 8128 (Gloss Black). On other wheels, the beadlock pattern is in complete contrast with the color of the flange. If your aim is to have your beadlock arrangement stand out then a contrasting finish between the beadlocks and the wheel is what you should go for.

Beadlock Positioning

Another notable difference between the beadlock arrangements on the various Pro Comp Xtreme Alloy wheel series is in the position of the beadlocks. Some of the wheels have the beadlocks placed on the inner lip of the flange. This is particularly the case for any Pro Comp Xtreme Alloy wheel that actually has a discrete inner lip: for instance, the ProComp 7033 and ProComp 6033. The ProComp 5182 Phantom however goes the extra length of incorporating beadlocks in both the outer lip of the wheels and the edges of its spokes. Another interesting beadlock arrangement that steers away from the traditional central outer lip positioning, can be found on the ProComp 6032. Its beadlocks are placed at the very edge of the outer lip and extend inwards towards the spokes in the form of thin cylindrical tubes.
