It's multiple mounting position are for both bracket and shield giving a greater adjustability power duting fitment. Each set of moto handguards comes with black , red and blue graphics sets and etc.

Renthal Handguard^® | The handlebar clamping surface is larger unlike on some other moto handguards. The flexibility of the the plastic mounting arms lets the handguards to bend instead of break in crash. The plastic clamp takes a bit more room on bars.

The left and right plastic arms are reversible to guard the mounts above and below the clutch and brakes. You can adjust the height of the clamp without tilting by using it's clamp spacers.
