G2 Axle & Gear Dana Chromoly Axle Shafts are forged from high grade 4140 or 4340 chromoly steel and heat treated with computer-controlled methods resulting in 25% deeper surface penetration over stock. This process allows them to withstand the loads produced by larger tires and low gear ratios. These axle shafts also feature a gold zinc plating which aids in added corrosion resistance. They also utilize the tried and true U-joint design to ensure a long and maintenance free service life, and are the ideal solution for the open knuckle application.
