Gary Weyhrich of Method Race Wheels Finishes Third

The 2014 event of the Best in the Desert's Vegas to Reno race was held Friday August 15th, 2014. The race was not a bad one for Method race wheels as its sponsored drivers, Gary Weyhrich and Steve Strobel, finished third and fourth respectively. The event was held under the scotching Nevada sun that did not seem bother drivers that much. The two drivers were confident going into the race but in the end they missed the top spot.

This race saw 304 racers from around the world compete in different categories. These included 40 Trick Trucks, 44 UTV's, 33/1500 and 28 Ironmen. This event was very competitive with Jason Voss in the mix as he was trying to defend his title

Method Race Wheels Drivers Finish Third and Fourth Respectively

After all the dust settled, Method wheels drivers Gary Weyhrich and Steve Strobel followed each other closely to finish third and fourth respectively. They managed to stay on course through the entire race navigating the bumps and hills smoothly. Both Weyhrich and Strobel were driving Ford trucks fitted with Method race wheels. Weyhrich was in his #98 Ford truck while Strobel was in his #94 Ford truck. At the end on the race the gap between these two was a massive 10 minutes wide.

The winner of this race was Jason Voss who was followed closely by Dale Dondel. Rounding up the top five finishers was Jesse Jones. This event consisted of a mix of very high speeds and technical terrains that needed as much speeds as the technical abilities of the driver could handle.

The next event in this series will be Bluewater desert challenge that will be held on October 10 in Parker, AZ. Both Weyhrich and Strobel are looking forward to the upcoming races for the 2014/2015 season and we would like to wish them luck as they prepare for these races.
