Save Money and Frustration by Choosing the Right Westin Nerf Bars
Westin nerf bars are some of the best nerf bars on the market. They come in many different shapes and sizes to satisfy the varying needs of different drivers. This makes the process of choosing the best nerf bar for your truck overwhelming and time consuming. This can be particularly confusing and even expensive for those who have never installed nerf bars on their vehicles before.
To help choose the right Westin nerf bars, five factors should be considered. These are style, finish, materials, ease of installation and warranties.
Choose a Style That Suits You
Before buying a new nerf bar, it is important to decide on the style you want for the truck. The different Westin nerf bars come in different styles. There are those designed to give your vehicle a traditional look with their 90-degree bends or those that will give you a modern straight tubular look. These nerf bars are available in 3, 3.5 or 4-inch diameters with either flat or wide stepping area. The length of the nerf bars that may be wheel-to-wheel or just cab length further influences style.
Materials Used During Construction
The different
Westin Nerf Bars
available are made with different materials. The top three materials used are stainless steel, aluminium and carbon steel. Westin stainless nerf bars are the most expensive of the bunch and are also the strongest and most durable. This is because with stainless steel nerf bars pitting, moisture and debris accumulation is not possible. Carbon steel nerf bars follow the stainless steel ones in strength with the aluminium ones coming in last.
The Finishing Of the Nerf Bar
Westin automotive has a wide range of nerf bars that come with many different finishes. The type of finish to choose should be guided by the colour of the truck the nerf bars will be fitted on. The widely used finishes on Westin nerf bars are the black powder coated paint, chrome plating or high lustre (for those made using stainless steel).
Installation Process
Westin automotive makes both custom fitting and universal nerf bars. The one to choose depends on the driver’s knowledge and experience. Custom fitting nerf bars tend to be very easy to install as there are no modifications required. Universal nerf bars on the other hand may require some technical knowledge and thus recommended for those who have prior experience installing nerf bars.
Are There Any Warranties?
For the different nerf bars it provides, Westin automotive, provides warranties covering different periods. The period covered should not be the only thing as what the warranty covers is also important. For those who intend to use their nerf bars for a long time, there are those that carry limited lifetime warranties.
