Fuel Wheels Offers One and Two Piece Wheel Options
Fuel Wheels is a new off road wheel manufacturer that has been around since 2009. The company offers a wide range of wheels for off road vehicles including fuel dually wheels, one piece wheels, two piece wheels and dip lip wheels.
One of the most frequently asked questions about these wheels is: “What is the difference between one piece and two piece fuel wheels?”
Fuel’s One Piece Wheels
Just as the name suggests, one piece Fuel Wheels are made from a single mold material. This means that the rim and centre cap are cast or forged from one integral piece. According to studies, this one piece style is theoretically superior because the molding and casting processes ensure that the wheels are strong and reliable.
Not surprisingly, one piece wheels have higher stiffness than most two piece or three piece wheels. This higher level of stiffness makes these wheels resistant to deformation no matter the conditions it faces. Higher stiffness also means that performance power is not lost but is rather transmitted to help the vehicle perform even better.
Because of their stiffness, one piece wheels are less prone to mechanical failure compared to other wheels. This, of course, makes them great for off-roading. The durability, combined with their low replacement cost, is also great because they are extremely economical.
Fuel’s Two Piece Wheels
Two piece Fuel wheels, on the other hand, are made using two separate pieces:
• One piece for the centre section and
• One piece for the for the rim portion.
There are bolts around the rims to hold all these pieces together. To ensure a stylish wheel, these bolts are not easily seen. Some of the main reasons for a two piece wheel include reducing production costs while allowing manufacturers to create complex, stylish designs.
In fact, two piece wheels can be molded to have different widths and offsets. The amazing thing about two piece wheels is that they are light weight and will therefore not affect the performance of your car.
Don’t forget; another benefit is that
Fuel Wheels
are usually stronger as each individual piece undergoes its own manufacturing process and when combined they form a solid and strong wheel.
Two piece wheels have low replacement costs. This is because you do not have to replace the entire wheel in case it is damaged. This is cheaper than it would have cost you to replace with a wheel of the same weight and quality.
Remember: no matter what you choose between one piece and two piece Fuel Wheels, you are guaranteed to get the best wheel for off road driving.
