Genuine Renthal Grip Glue usually comes in a 25ml tube. Renthal Grip glue is specially formulated to give a secure bond without damaging the grip.
Renthal Grip Glue is a must when installing Renthal soft compound grips. After removing your old grips, clean the area on the bar's left side and the throttle tube using a spray solvent to remove glue or other contaminants. You must keep the grip glue out of the throttle tube side. Take any thick sticker, cut it in a circle shape, and place it over the hole. This keeps the glue from entering and prevents the throttle from sticking! Afterward, now you're ready to install the grips. Coat the grip with the glue; don't use too much to ooze out and make a mess. As you slide the grip, pull the lip upwards to allow the air to escape. When the grip is slid, give it a spin to help the glue distribute evenly.
Time to wire the grips safety to give them an extra safety feature against any type of movement or heat in action. It is essential in wet conditions or when you are using the Renthal soft compound grips. Renthal recommends using a double wrap of safety wire in three evenly spaced locations across the grip. Just make sure that the ends of the wire are properly positioned at the bottom of the grip. Lastly, when the grips safely wired and glued, wait for 8-hours before you ride.
