Airlift Suspension Lift System Benefits

Airlift Suspension Lift System Benefits

You don’t need to configure a new suspension system to enjoy the benefits of Airlift spring systems. The Airlift spring system fits directly into your existing metal suspension system. This includes systems that utilize leaf spring kits, torsion bar suspensions and coils springs. Airlift has developed the process of installing air suspension components to make it easier. They therefore install through a bolt on process that takes a few minutes to complete. So how exactly do these springs work?

The Airlift suspension system consists of an air spring and an air line system. In the air springs, air is pressurized to raise the chassis away from the axle. This system has traditionally been used on buses and trucks but the advantages of air suspension systems have prompted industrial innovators like Airlift to adapt the technology for other automobiles such as trucks, cars and SUVs. Some of these benefits include:

Load Specific Support

One of the most attractive advantages of having an air spring system is being able to adjust its level of compression in accordance with how much load you are carrying. With greater loads, you should add air into the air spring in order to have greater support and thus more comfort. When driving with an unloaded vehicle the air spring can be released to deflate the spring a little and experience less responsiveness from the springs for better ride quality.

Handling

Airlift air spring systems are made to work in a natural efficient way. The more compressed they are, the stiffer they become. Thus you are assured of ample strength when extra pressure is exerted on the vehicle’s chassis. Consequently, handling the vehicle over rough terrain becomes much easier. You do not have to worry about meticulously maneuvering your way over dips and bumps on your path, the air spring will do this for you. You will also have an easier time braking and better headlight aim.

Customized Appeal

For anyone looking to lower their vehicle’s height for a cooler look and a street savvy appeal, then Airlift’s air suspension system is a quick and painless alternative to traditional lifting and lowering kits. By adjusting the air pressure and valving you can easily get your vehicle to low rider status. The fun part is that this look doesn’t have to be permanent as getting the vehicle back to normal ride status is just as easy as lowering it. The same applies for truckers who want a lifted look for cruising above other drivers in an off-road race. Given the high capacity for load support, lifting your truck using an air suspension system will not compromise its stability.
