What Makes the Dura Grappler the King of the Highway?

The Nitto Dura Grappler Tire was developed by Nitto to perform best on highways. If you have a light truck or SUV, this tire will give you the comfort you need to cover miles and miles of driving. Aside from that, the Nitto Dura Grappler Tire is recognized as an all weather tire that has as much great dry performance as wet performance. Dura Belt Technology

Dura Belt Technology comprises of a 3 steel-belted layout below the rubber. This structure adds stability and durability to the tire by evening out wear, which in turn increases the tread life of the tire. This offers you an edge in durability and dent resistance over passenger tires which are often constructed with two belt layers. In addition to this, the belts are aligned in a radial structure to assure you of minimized heat generation and a softer ride.

Heavy Duty Load Rating

If you are concerned about how much weight the Dura Grappler can put up with, then you’ll be happy to know that majority of the spec options are made in heavy duty LT sizes that can manage maximum loads ranging between 2000 and 3750 pounds.

Dual Sidewalls

Dura Grappler’s dual sidewall is an additional feature that helps you customize your tire further. This design consists of a metal fin design on one side of the tire and a traditional look on the other. Depending on which personality of the tire you want to show, you can switch it to have the preferred sidewall facing outside.

Tread Design and Warranty

Nitto has utmost faith in the longevity of the Dura Grappler’s treads. This is why it is offered with a 60,000 mile warranty on its P-Metric size. Furthermore, the dura-belt technology used on the Dura Grappler tire also comes with a 45000 mile warranty. The reason such extended life is guaranteed is because the treads are made for all round resistance to weather elements.

The circumferential grooves on the tread pattern are able to evacuate water smoothly off the tire when driving in rainy or generally wet weather, thus allowing consistent traction to be maintained while hindering hydroplaning effects. The sipes on the tread block also aid in this goal. The tire as a whole has a four rib pattern which is interlinked to reduce tread flex and cut out noise hence increasing driving comfort.
