Superlift Suspension Lift Kits Are Compatible With Various Suspension Systems

As you shop for your suspension lift kit, it is important to keep in mind that the option of installing your kit by yourself is always available. In today’s DIY society, most consumer vehicles have aftermarket accessories made for them with easier set up processes. Superlift suspension kits are made with the same convenience in mind. However, an adequate amount of professional knowledge on the different components of your suspension system and how they work together is necessary. Spring over Axle Suspension

Spring over axle suspensions have the springs placed above the axle instead of below it as would be found in most vehicle. For anyone looking to have exceptional lift on their truck then spring over axle systems give the best results since they create greater ground clearance and thus allow you to mount larger wheels.

Shackle Reverse Suspensions

Shackle Reverse suspensions turn your front springs around to have the shackle positioned behind the spring and the fixed pin positioned at the front instead.

Coil Suspensions

Coil suspensions are the most common suspension lift system. They utilize a coil spring as opposed to air or leaf spring systems. They are preferred because of the fact that they do not experience frictional wear and can be adjusted by coil diameter for a firmer spring response rate.

Leaf Spring Suspension

These suspension models are made with leaves that can either be mono or multi layered. They are spread under or above the axle depending on whether you have a spring over axle or spring under axle system. While multi leaf springs are prone to frictional resistance, they are easy to maintain with a Superlift add a leaf spring kit which allows you to place additional increments to your lift level without necessarily buying an entirely new set of leaf springs.

Shackle Suspension Lift

A shackle lift is a cheaper alternative to a leaf spring lift. The shackle attaches a leaf spring to the truck’s suspension framework. You can achieve some lift on your suspension by replacing it with a different shackle length. This would be one way of using shackle replacement to adjust suspension lift.
