Where It All Started

Slipstreamer started operations over 40 years ago producing quality motorcycle, ATV, Cruiser and Scooter windshields. Slipstreamer’s journey began in the early 1970s when Bob Eggerichs set up shop in St. Paul, Minnesota. The company’s goal has been to manufacture high quality products for motorcycle enthusiasts and they seem to be on the right track. The company manufactured its first clear acrylic stand-alone windshield during the 70s. These are the windshields that have become synonymous with the company.

By the 80s, Slipstreamer had moved its headquarters to Eden Prairie, Minnesota and had six different windshields under its name. In addition, the company also had other motorcycle products that include luggage, rain suits and leather gloves. This all changed when Bob’s son Bob came on board and eliminated the other products and focused solely on windshields. The company focused on its existing products until the early 1990s when it added new products. This is the same time the company moved to its current location in Blaine, Minnesota.

Fast Forward to Today

Today, Slipstreamer is one of the biggest motorcycle windshield manufacturers globally. The company creates its windshields under its own name or through private labels. It also does custom work and plastic fabrication in other industries. Even though the company is diversified, it has still focused on its core values that include high quality products and good customer service.

Since the company is committed to customer service, it dedicates most of its time to listening to what the customers want. Slipstreamer President Bob Eggerichs said, “Our goal here at Slipstreamer is to provide the highest quality product.
