Uniroyal Tires Drive Every type of Vehicle

Thousands of American vehicles have been on the move since 1892 thanks to Uniroyal tires. The company has steadily maintained its brand quality to supply tires that give all round performance in every season. One part of that means creating more compounds that preserve the tire’s tread life. The list of tires from Uniroyal is quite expansive. This is why they are classified within various categories. These categories differentiate them by their tire widths, aspect ratios and construction (radial or bias), wheel diameter application, load index and speed rating. For a simple curve of categorization, Uniroyal tires are also divided in terms of the kind of vehicle they are meant for. These include SUVs and pickups, Commercial and Cars/minivans.

SUV’s and Pickups

For the SUV or pickup owner, some of the most important characteristics of a tire include being able to cross a variety of terrain. A pick-up for instance is used to haul cargo to and from different locations some of which may prove to be a challenge to access. With Uniroyal’s array of SUV/pick up tires all these characteristics are packed up in five tire series. These include AWP, Country Tour, Cross Country, HD/H Laredo and HD/T Laredo. The HD/T is the most rugged in the group and is suited for off road drives. It features deeply offset lugs and a rib tread pattern that is interlocked at the center while forming a symmetrical pattern overall. Other SUV/pick-up tires from Uniroyal such as the HD/H and A/S Laredo have much more distinct tread pattern with sharp edged tread blocks and a clear mid rib block.

Car and Minivan

Uniroyal’s Car and Minivan tires come in an even wider variety that includes seven awesome models. These tires are grouped under the Tiger Paw brand and feature TruForm technology which is used to map out the tread pattern into an accurate profile. It equalizes each stress on the tire’s contact patch to extend tread life. Tiger Paw tires also have wide smoothly curved shoulder blocks that run into a tough sidewall. It helps them to minimize noise levels when driving for a more comfortable ride.

Commercial

Uniroyal’s HD/H and HD/T Laredo tires not only fit into the SUV/pick up division but they are also suited for the commercial category. Their heavy duty construction which includes deep set grooves and symmetrical tread patterns make them well suited for commercial trucks. Their spec options have Q and S speed ratings and are constructed with a load index as high as 123.
