If you are a Jeep XJ Cherokee owner and looking towards upgrading your vehicle using a recovery winch, it is important to consider using a great bumper that would not permit the winch to block the air flowing to the vehicle’s engine. Quality

The OR-Fab bumpers are manufactured from 3/16-inch thick steel plate that feature CNC press brake, laser cut hand welded, bent to precise angles and hand ground to perfectly and smooth angled quality and finish. Furthermore, the bumpers ends are tapered to facilitate enough clearance for up to 37-inch diameters. The bumpers further feature a wrinkled or gloss wrinkled heavy-duty powered coat finish giving a unique look on the roads.

The Installation Process

The installation of the OR Fab bumper is so simple and begins with you selecting the right winch. OR-Fab recommends thr Warn M8000S winch. This is because the winch can be easily operated using a wired remote. Additionally, it has 8,000 Ibs to attain a full capacity. The winch features 4.8 horsepower motor, weighs 80-Ibs in addition to a three-stage planetary gear set which offers you a reliable, smooth and fast operation. The Warn M8000S is also equipped with wire or warns Spydura synthetic rope.

The installation of the OR-Fab bumper and winch starts with unbolting and then removing the bottom air dam, factory bumper and finally the cross-braces from your vehicle. Because OR-Fab bumpers feature a full-width design, it is important that the front part of the fenders is trimmed to provide proper fitment of the bumper and additional tire clearance.

Before you mount the bumper, you should assemble and bolt the Warn M8000s winch to the OR-Fab bumper. Based on guideline for winch installation, you should use the supplied nuts and bolts to secure your winch on the winch mount.

Convenience

Once you have mounted the winch into OR-Fab bumper, it will take two people to assist you in assembling and securing the bolts onto your Jeep’s frame. Warn also provides large two-gauge battery wire leads which you can easily route to the XJ’s battery, and once it was attached, the installation was complete. The next step involved winding the warn Spydura synthetic line onto the winch drum.
