Get More Traction and Stability with Nitto

When it comes to off road tires, enthusiasts mostly look for those that offer more stability, more traction, more tread life, more style and better sound abatement. This is what pushed Nitto tire U.S.A kept in mind when it started working on the Terra Grappler G2 to replace the original Terra Grapplers. These new tires were unveiled recently and will go on sale as from October 1, 2014.

What’s New with the Terra Grappler G2 Tires

These tires are available in both plus-size and OE-replacement fitments that are engineered to meet demanding performance needs with unprecedented treadwear. These tires resemble the original Terra Grapplers but have different features and abilities as they have been re-engineered completely. They use the new rubber compound unique to the Grappler line for longer tread life. The Terra Grappler G2 tires will last for 50,000 miles for LT-metric sizes and 65,000 miles for hard-metric sizes.

The Terra Grappler G2 tires have reinforced coupling joints between the centre and outer tread blocks. This improves block rigidity to ensure even tread wear no matter the terrain you drive on. These tires also have full depth sipes to help maintain the stylish appearance of the tread design even when the tire wears. This is one of the features that sets these tires apart from other aftermarket tires.

You will not have to worry about driving or braking on wet conditions with these new tires as they have continuous lateral grooves that will expel water and reduce the braking distance. The Nitto Terra Grappler G2 tires have noise-cancelling variable-pitch tread blocks that will ensure your ride is as quiet as possible. Handling both on and off road has been improved with these new tires thanks to the balanced void ratios.

According to Alan Ngo Senior Staff Engineer of Nitto Tire U.S.A. Inc, the Terra Grappler G2 tires take the performance and functionality of the original Terra Grapplers to a new level to satisfy the customers’ needs. He continued to say, “The new rubber compound improves treadwear, the tread pattern was re-engineered to retain on-road ride quality and off-road traction and the dual-design sidewalls continue the bold appearance Nitto customers expect.”

The New EXO Grappler AWT

Nitto Tire has also introduced Exo Grappler AWT for all-terrain and heavy duty purposes. AWT stands for all-weather terrain and these tires will not disappoint as they are durable and perfect for SUVs and trucks. They have the Three Peak Mountain Snowflake rating meaning that they are can perform very well on snow. They have a sturdy three-ply sidewall that helps improve durability when driving through harsh off road terrains. Available sizes range from 17 to 20 inches with varying widths.
