August Was A Good Month for KMC Wheel

Menzies motorsport has been having a good year and August was the best month yet. The team competed in the Lucas Oil off Road Series in Glen Helen rounds 9 and 10. This was followed closely by rounds 11 and 12 at Wild West Motorsports Park in Sparks, NV.

Rounds 9 and 10 of the Lucas Oil off Road Series

These two rounds were held under the scotching of sun San Bernardino, CA. Both drivers representing Menzies motorsport went to these rounds with high hopes. First up was Ricky Johnson in the Pro-4 series. He had a bad practice run characterised by mechanical issues and this forced him to start from the rear during the race. In the Pro-2 series, Bryce had a good qualifying round finishing 3rd in his #70 Red Bull Pro-2 fitted with KMC Wheels.

In the main race, Ricky Johnson started in the last spot but managed to push his #48 Red Bull pro-4 through the course to finish that race at position 4. This was not so bad given he had started from the last spot. The last race for the day saw Bryce start on the inside of the second row. He competed head to head with Deegan and MacCachran and after four laps, he made his was to second place. The remaining laps were eventful with a number of challengers for Bryce who finished at second place.

On Saturday, Menzies crew had a good start with Johnson running steadily and managing a 3rd place podium finish. He was in his KMC XD 808 wheels. The last race during the weekend was in the pro-2 class that saw Menzies start in the second row. Bryce and Jeremy McGrath went head to head until turn 1 when Renezeder hit McGrath and he rolled over. In the end Menzies was the one who passed McGrath and he never looked back managing a 1st place podium finish.

Wild West Motorsports Park

Rounds 11 and 12 of the Lucas Oil off Road Series were held at the Wild West Motorsports Park in Sparks, NV. RJ had a good weekend at Wild West Motorsports Park and managed a 3rd place finish once again in the Pro-4 class. In the Pro-2 class, Menzies started well and managed to get to 2nd place even before lap 1 ended. Bryce on his part also had a good start and quickly rushed to 1st place position. He stayed there for the rest of the race leaving a 15-truck gap between him and the second place.
