The TeraFlex Dual Rate S/T Swaybar System is one of the
most advanced disconnect systems available with its easy
engagement knob you can go from street to trail in secondsliterally!
The Dual Rate S/T Swaybar System gives you the best of both
worlds. Engaged in the ‘street’ position, the bar allows for a stable
highway drive. Disconnected in the ‘trail’ position, it allows your
vehicle to articulate and your tires to bite despite the terrain with
balanced suspension travel.
The Dual Rate features two torsion bars, one for heavy duty highway
handling and one tuned for off road articulation. The trail swaybar
offers some resistance, but just enough to limit excessive body roll
when in off camber and sidehill situations. It also helps to maintain and
keep constant the vehicle’s center of gravity by keeping the vehicle
weight distributed evenly. There is virtually no limit in articulation when
running the Dual Rate S/T.
To disengage the swaybar with the S/T system, simply twist a knob
and you are on your way. To re-engage, rotate the knob again and the
swaybar will self engage when the vehicle is level.

The trail swaybar is designed
to offer the perfect amount of
anti-roll when off road. This
keeps the Jeep® stable and
allows side hills and off camber
maneuvers without loss of
vehicle control. Constructed of
22 spline, heat treated 4130

Internal Bushing
The Dual Rate S/T features
an internal bushing that
allows both swaybars to rotate
independently of each other
when in the trail position. The
bushing eliminates any play
for tight working tolerances. |

High Clearance Arm
The high clearance bends
in the Swaybar arm allow for
maximum wheel travel during
articulation and eliminates
most tire interference with the
swaybar. |

Quick Knob
The swaybar knob is
ergonomically designed to
make engagement and disengagement
a breeze. No
dirty or greasy hands. Just
rotate clockwise for trail use,
and counter-clockwise for

High Strength Clamp
A through-hole bolt clamps
the arm to the torsion bar for
maximum grip. The splines
are carefully machined to
ensure that a precise fit is
guaranteed for maximum
torque efficiency in the torsion
bar and through the arm. This
process eliminates any slop. |

Locking End Cap
The locking end cap is an
extra measure of security. The
through-bolt actually secures
the arm to the torsion bar, the
end cap helps to retain the
arm from any possible shifting
under extreme side-to-side
movement that may occur. |

Rate Adjustment
To further fine tune the
handling and performance of
the S/T & Dual Rate Swaybars
custom rate adjustment
holes are machined to allow
incremental rate changes to
the torsion settings. Locating
the links further in on the arm
increases the stiffness. |

Adjustable Links
The adjustable links allow fine
tuning the swaybar system so
that there is no pressure on
the knob when the vehicle is
sitting on a level surface. The
misalignment caps allow the
link to twist with the axle to
prevent link binding. |

UHMW Bushing
The Ultra High Molecular
Weight (UHMW) bushings fit
in the front crossmember to
provide stability and smooth
movement during articulation
and off road travel. The bushings
align the swaybar and the
crossmember and eliminate
excess movement. |
