The Smittybilt Tree Saver can help you protect the trees you use as anchor points. This Tree Saver is similar in construction to Smittybilt Recovery Straps, but is wider at 4" to more evenly distribute force to your anchor tree. Under the extreme forces that are generated when winching, chains can cut into the protective bark of trees leaving them vulnerable to decay. Simply put, if you want that tree to be there for the next person who gets stuck, use a Smittybilt Tree Saver.
