Rugged Ridge has special Jeep Hitches for use with Rugged Ridge rear bumpers. These are the Rear Hitch for Rugged Ridge Tube Bumpers. These frame mounted hitches allow for lightweight towing (2,000lb towing weight, 200lb tongue weight capacity).
For XHD Rear Bumpers, use the Rugged Ridge Tow Hitch Receiver. It bolts directly to rear factory mounting points with a 1 piece welded assembly for additional strength. These frame mounted hitches allow for lightweight towing (2,000lb towing weight, 200lb tongue weight capacity).
Rugged Ridge also has a Wrangler Receiver Hitch Kit including wiring. These are custom designed hitches that bolts directly to factory mounting points on the rear of the vehicle, very similar design to the OE Receiver Hitch. Durable powder coat design sheds water and provides a long lasting rust free finish. These hitch receivers match the towing capacity of Jeep: 3,500-lb tow rating, 350-lb tongue weight rating with weight distributing equipment; otherwise 2000- lb tow rating, 200-lb tongue weight rating, 2” opening. The included wire harness is made to the original equipment specifications and plugs into the existing wiring harness, avoiding costly modifications to the vehicle’s wiring.
