Rugged Ridge Arm Rest directly bolts into the JK mounting screws—no need to remove the OE lid. The steel brackets were also included to ensure the durability. Arm Rest uses either the Neoprene or tough vinyl-coated polyester fabric with a dense foam center for comfort, performance and a great look in the vehicle. In addition, it allows a full opening and closing console id. The arm rest doesn't need drilling upon installation!

Rugged Ridge Jeep Arm Rest Pad Installation Instructions

  1. Please read instructions fully prior to installing the Rugged Ridge JK Center Console Arm Rest. The arm rest has been designed to be a no drill application for ease of installation. take your time when installing to avoid scratching the plastic OE vehicle console cover. The arm rest when properly installed will just touch the top of the console.
  2. Open console lid and remove the rear 4 torx head screws (use a T20 torx bit). Retain these 4 screws as they will be reused later. Remove console lid.
  3. With console lid removed unscrew the 4 side torx head screws with the same T20 torx bit.
  4. Place Arm Rest over console lid being careful not to scratch plastic cover.
  5. Place black plastic spacers between arm rest and console as shown. Secure with longer phillips head screws supplied.
  6. Repeat step 5 for other three mounting points.
  7. Place console lid and arm rest back onto lower console and secure using the 4 torx head screws saved from step 2.

Denim fabric can be cleaned using warm water and mild soap. The Neoprene pads can be pre-treated with 303 fabric protector making sure to test a small area before applying to insure no fading will take place. It is important to note that Neoprene will fade if placed in direct sunlight for an extended period. Regular cleaning using warm water and a very mild soap will also help to maintain the Neoprene's appearance. DO NOT scrub Neoprene when cleaning. This will cause fading.
