Greg Weld, President and CEO of Weld Wheel Industries, started Weld Racing during the “peak” of his professional racing career, winning numerous championships, including a USAC National Sprint Car Championship and the prestigious Knoxville Sprint Car Nationals. He actually built and raced on some of his first sets of wheels and ended up in over 100 victory circles due to their superior design. He was also the youngest rookie ever to qualify for and race in the Indy 500.

Soon after he raced Indy, Greg Weld, age 23, made one of the hardest decisions of his life and stopped his racing career prematurely to devote 100% of his time to Weld Racing. It was Greg Weld’s vision over 33 years ago to build stronger, lighter and truer wheels for both on and off the race track that has made Weld Wheel Industries what it is today. Greg uses his racing philosophy in Weld’s day to day operations--“Be the Best – There is no alternative.” This philosophy produces the kind of product that sets our company apart from any other in the industry.
