Extang’s Black Max Snaps Right in Place
We’ve seen a wide variety of excellent tonneau covers come from Extang, from sold folding to hard folding tonneau covers and rolls ups. Now Extang has a soft snap tonneau cover named Black Max. This tonneau cover is a low profile cover that is made to fit smoothly over the truck bed’s rails by positioning the snaps into the side rail. The cover is made of tough vinyl material that expands and contracts in varying weather patterns to makes sure the tarp is taut enough throughout your journey.

It comes in solid black look and will thus compliment black trucks pretty well. On a closer look there are more features on this product than meets the eye. These features are what make it a unique snap tonneau cover.

Leverlock System

The Extang Leverlock configuration is a tail rail locking system that the Blackmax tonneau cover comes with. Whenever you need to unload or load larger cargo items it may come in hand to have the tail rail out of the way. The Leverlock system makes this easy for you. By a simple pull on the small lever at the corner of the rail, it will disengage the rail so that you can remove it. One you place it back, onto the tailgate, the rail will stay in place firmly thank to the secure configuration of the Leverlock.

Easy to Follow Installation

To install the Extang Black Max on your truck bed, you are provided with a set of equipment that includes spring bows, clamps, side rails and cab rails. The installation only requires you to slot in the tarp on the side rail and connect the side rails to the cab rails. After this, the system is clamped using the same conventional simple bolt-on clamping method that is used on most tonneau covers in the industry. The bows connect to the rails through the clamps and thus don’t need any special fitting procedure to add them into the system.

All through you will see that no additional equipment outside the product package is required to get the tonneau set up. It might require more steps than folding covers but it is a process that even a kid can manage.

Maxsnaps

Maxsnaps are the special snaps used on Blackmax and they were developed and patented by Extang themselves. Why? Because they are that effective. These snaps are what prevent your tarp from flying off when you are cruising through the highway and the wind is beating down the back of your truck. But with Maxsnaps even the harshest storm won’t affect your cover. Maxsnaps are made of fiberglass reinforced nylon which makes them resilient to pressure. Furthermore, the cover lines them very close to each other to make sure they maintain a tight seal on the tarp.
