BFGoodrich Tires Expands Its Portfolio with Some Tough All-Terrain Tires

BFGoodrich Tires jumped into the all-terrain tire business in 1976 and the company has managed to stay relevant up to today. For the last 30 years, BFGoodrich has constructed high quality aftermarket tires for maximum performance and reliability. These tires have been used in many different scenarios from sports cars, drag races, desert, to extreme rock crawling.

Introducing the All-Terrain T/A KO2 Tires

The company has expanded its portfolio with the new All-Terrain T/A KO2 tires. These are the most advanced tires and take over from the successful All-Terrain T/A KO tires. These tires are designed to deliver exceptional toughness, traction and durability when driving through harsh off road terrains. These tires will give any driver confidence to enjoy any terrain from gravel, dirt, rock, mud to snow

The BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A KO2 tires are the first tires from the company to use the CoreGard technology (mostly seen on racing tires). This makes the tires stronger than the current KO series tires. These are durable tires that will last 15% longer on asphalt and twice as long on gravel road compared to the other all terrain tires. This means they give you the chance to enjoy your off road experiences even longer.

The traction of these tires is 10% better on mud and 19% better in snow when compared to the first generation All-Terrain T/A KO2 tires. Just to show how good these tires are, they will be carrying the 3 Peak Mountain Snowflake symbol. This symbol is reserved for tires that meet and exceed the Rubber Manufacturer Association’s extreme snow traction requirements.

Dan Newsome, BFGoodrich Tires country marketing manager said, “Thirty-eight years ago, BFGoodrich launched a tire that created the all-terrain category. “ The company launched the first KO tires a year later and these wheels have controlled the all-terrain tire category for years. Dan Newsome went further to say, “BFGoodrich is once again unleashing a game-changer that will take on anything ‘Playground Earth’ has to dish out. It grips better on mud and snow, while lasting longer on gravel and asphalt.”

Not surprisingly, these wheels borrow heavily from the tough BFGoodrich Baja T/A KR2 tires that had nine out of the top 10 finishes in the 2014 Baja 500 series. BFGoodrich engineers used the latest off road racing technology when developing these tires to ensure they survive on a wide range of environments. In summary, some of the new features on the KO2 tires include:
