BF Goodrich Tires Revs Up for 12 Hours of Sebring Race

Drivers will still be out at night during the 12 Hours of Sebring.

Next month, the entire racing world will be focused on one event: the 12 Hours of Sebring race. This race is part of the triple crown of endurance racing, the other two legs being the 24 Hours of Daytona and the 24 Hours of Le Mans. But, neither Daytona nor Le Mans has the same feel as Sebring. That’s because the 12 Hours of Sebring race is held in the muggy Florida swamplands at one of the oldest and most historic tracks in the country, the Sebring International Raceway.

The Greatness of BF Goodrich Tires

Races at the Sebring International Raceway are always guaranteed to bring out the best talent in the auto world, especially when it’s time for the 12 Hours of Sebring race. Of course, one of the biggest names always present is BF Goodrich. Over the years, BF Goodrich Tires has cemented itself as a perennial contender at Sebring, showcasing its chops as a historically elite auto and tire company. Last year was no different. BF Goodrich sponsored driver Christian Szymczak who went on to dominate the 12 Hours of Sebring race, once again showing the strength, power, and versatility of the BF Goodrich brand.

According to a race recap of last year’s event, “After leading the competition over the practice sessions and capturing the pole for Race One, [Szymczak] led the entire race and captured the first race of the SCCA Pro Racing Playboy Mazda MX-5 Cup at Sebring International Raceway, part of the 61st Mobil 1 12 Hours of Sebring.” The race, which is held in early March, was just the beginning of an extremely successful season for BF Goodrich.

During the course of 2013, BF Goodrich went on to devour 45 season championships, placing drivers on podiums at all of the country’s greatest and most historic venues. Peter Calhoun, motorsports manager for BFGoodrich Tires, says, “BFGoodrich Tires prides itself on providing product and support to our racing community that produces champions – we succeeded in that this year.” So far in 2014, it’s been more of the same.

2014 Will Be More of the Same

Last month as part of the CCA Eastern Conference Majors Tour, BF Goodrich cruised to another victory at their favorite track, the Sebring International Raceway. Not only did they come away with a victory at the race, they sponsored the entire event! But all of this is just a warm-up for next month’s 12 Hours of Sebring race, an event that brings out the very best in the world and gives BF Goodrich an opportunity to prove why nobody else is better. It’s an attitude that all of their customers appreciate.
