Do you lose power or performance?
The silencer is designed to add only 2% back pressure, as quiet as possible without losing any power. In some cases, it has shown to increase bottom end power.
Will it hurt my engine?
No. The Silencer has been used for over 6 years on ATV's without any damage to the engine. It is designed only for 4-stoke ATV's.
Do I have to weld on my ATV?
On some models, where there is not enough flange or tail pipe to attach to, it will be necessary to wire or mig weld the adapter to the end of the stock muffler. Only the adapter is permanent. The silencer will pressure fit onto the adapter. Other models like the Honda Rancher, Foreman, Grizzly 600, Bayou, etc. does not require an adapter.
Can I install this myself?
Yes. The silencer mounts right to the stock muffler. If your model does not use an adapter, it can be installed less than 10 minutes. If your model takes the weld on adapter, or the optional bolt on application it will take a few additional minutes to install, then it bolts right onto your back rack bars.
Does it work with drop down baskets?
In most cases it does. Keep in mind that most of our designs are level with the stock muffler, and extends approx 4 inches from the stock muffler and mounts horizontally.
In rare cases, where the drop basket passes the stock muffler, there normally is enough room to mount the silencer in between the rack and muffler. If not, don't give up yet, Benz Silent Rider can custom design one to accommodate your other accessories.
I have the Polaris Ranger and Yamaha Rhino 660, will my bed still dump?
Yes, the silencer does not interfere with the dump bed.
How is the Benz designed?
The Benz is manufacture by a large exhaust company in North Carolina. It is made of 14 gauge aluminized steel. When it goes through production, the brackets and heat shield are positioned and welded into place. This makes a more compact looking unit. The Benz has a baffled with fiberglass packing providing the ultimate silencing. If the silencer uses an adapter, they are each pre-fitted to make sure of a tight fit, so no clamping will be necessary at the exhaust. The Benz carries a Patent for an Auxilliary silencer for All Terrain Vehicles.
How Long has the Benz been in use?
We have been testing the silencer for over 7 years. We are pleased to say that our silencers are being in used by game wardens, satisfied hunters, Military, Law enforcement etc. a little over 4 years.
What type of warranty do you offer?
90 day money back guarantee-no questions asked. 1 year on manufacture defects (if there should ever be any). Our patent No. US 6,640,927
The silent rider,
Recently I ordered and installed the Silent Rider muffler on my Arctic Cat Prowler.
In the past I have had to wear hearing protection due to the loud popping of the 650, 4-stroke engine.
I am thrilled at new sound of my ATV. No more "hearing protection"!!
I am also impressed at the quality of the workmanship of the muffler. The "heat shield" does a good job of keeping things cool in "dry grass" conditions, where a fire isn't something we look forward to.
The muffler bolted on smoothly, with no alterations. It not only works good, it also looks good.
I am happy to recommend this product to anyone looking for a way to cut down on their ATV exhaust noise.

Great Product....for my brute force 750.... I am bow hunter and frequently get permission from landowners to hunt.... This makes my ATV even more less obtrusive... and now the engine is what your hear and not the exhaust... Landowners giving permission to hunt are few and far between.... I don't take that for granted.... I know The land owner appreciates the respect I show his property by being a steward and not a problem.

Ben and Tammy...well its been 2 years since I bought my silencer from yall...and its still doing its job. And I will tell anyone that you all are the best to do business with. I drove up on a game warden and he asked where I came from. Now that's a change isnt it. Again you have a fine product and if its quiet your looking for....You found it here...
Ben and Tammy, Ok, I'm impressed! Yeah, the muffler is great and I'll definitely keep it, but what really impressed me was the way Tammy responded (in a timely way) to my email questions, and then Ben followed up with a phone call! Great service, and Ben's input was dead-on. The muffler does a great job. Your service really shines! Call me if you ever need references!
Thanks again, Tim
I want to thank you for your superior product and excellent customer service. I contacted you a couple of times and was extremely satisfied with your personnel's professionalism and help in answering all my questions and concerns.
During one of the calls, I ordered a ATV silencer for my 1986 Honda TRX 350 and to my surprise it arrived ultra-fast! I was going elk hunting the next day so temporarily installed it on my ATV that has an aftermarket muffler. I was told it was not designed for the aftermarket muffler but decided to try it anyway. The adapter fit perfectly over the exhaust tip and the silencer worked as advertised! It cut the muffler noise at least in half. I will have to get a longer adapter and possibly change the mounting clamps but this will be no problem.
Because of its performance on the louder aftermarket muffler, I can't wait to get another one and put it on my other ATV with the stock muffler. Friends who have heard the difference are astounded by the change and are seriously considering buying one for their ATV's. I would recommend it to all ATV owners with either the stock or aftermarket muffler! You can expect me to order another one in the near future.

Hi, I want to thank you again for your superb product! I recently purchased my second ATV silencer and installed it on another of my 1986 Honda TRX 350's. The ATV I put it on has a factory muffler and it works even better at reducing the exhaust noise than the first silencer installed on my 1986 Honda TRX 350 that has an aftermarket muffler. It works great on both and again I would recommend it for any ATV with either a factory or aftermarket muffler. More of my friends have witnessed the difference and are seriously considering purchasing one.
Let me say again that I think your product is great and every ATV should have one installed! I like it so well that I have plans on getting two more for my daughters ATV's (also 1986 Honda TRX 350's)! Thanks again for a superb product!

Just received my new Benz silencer for my 2008 RZR. I am 100% totally thrilled. It really did a job reducing the noise of the stock muffler. I am also very pleased with the neat mounting system.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR INSTALLATION OF ATV SILENCERS
Never is the ATV Silencer a permanent mount. Only the adapter that requires welding is permanent. Adapters are used for an attachment point. All ATV Silencers will pressure/friction fit onto the stock muffler flange or the adapter. This unique design does not need clamping, therefore; making a very easily installation and removable if ever needed. All ATV Silencers are designed with a heat shield, turndown pipe and mounting brackets for a secure mount. There is no assembly necessary!
NO ADAPTER NEEDED
This means that your ATV has enough tail pipe of flange on the stock muffler for the silencer to get a tight seal without any welding needed. There are support brackets on the silencer that will mount onto your back rack bars or frame with rubber clamps provided that will secure a solid mount.
WELD ON ADAPTER
This means that your ATV muffler does not have anything for the silencer to slide onto or attach to; therefore we created a small piece of tubing that we recommend wire welding to the end of your stock muffler. Remember only the adapter is permanent, not the silencer. This will create a perfect size tubing for the silencer to pressure fit onto. There are support brackets on the silener that will mount onto your back rack bars or frame with clamps provided that will secure a solid mount.
OPTIONAL BOLT-ON ADAPTER
This is only available for the Honda Rubicon 500 (01-04) Yamaha Rhino 450 & 660
Yamaha Kodiak 400 & 450 Yamaha Bruin 350 and the Yamaha Grizzly 350, 400, 450 & 660.
The bolt on adapter makes it easier to mount because it lines up perfectly with the existing bolt holes. You do not have to drill new or extra holes! Once the adapter is in place, the silencer will pressure fit onto it. There are support brackets on the silencer that will either mount onto your back rack bars or frame with clamps provided that will secure a solid mount.
All of our silencers are custom designed to fit the individual unit, with heat shield & turndown pipe. They mount very sturdily without any rattling or loose components.
