Having found the business a little too slow especially during winter in Colorado, Thomas tried out during those lean months producing replacement tops for Jeeps. In no time, this sort of buffer business outdid his upholstery income that he decided to sell the latter and focus on the more lucrative business of producing the replacement tops. Thus, the birth of a company called “Bestop”. The company then moved into a bigger place in town where at least 25 tops a day were being done.
As Bestop has promised to its wide supporters, clients and patrons, Bestop will continue to produce and bring into the market the best and the finest Bestop products for the next fifty years or more, as it has done in the last fifty years.
