The Flux Power Display is a Pocket PC software program, designed to run wirelessly via Bluetooth from inside your car. This new software contains several features that the performance marketplace is demanding to have as consumer technology is spreading to the automotive world. Features such as control of up to 5 engine map calibration settings, real-time logging of horsepower, torque, RPM and speed, full display of several engine components, OBD II DTC reading and clearing, speed adjustments for non-oe tires & wheels and several specific tuning features for advanced users. No product on the market gives drivers this level of access to engine data and tuning in one product.
The Flux Power Display package comes with an installation CD, Unichip Bluetooth module for version Q chips, and an instruction booklet. Many dealers are accepting pre-orders now. System Requirements: Pocket PC Bluetooth PDA running Windows Pocket PC 2003 r1 or Windows Mobile 5.0. Free software updates available at www.unichip.us when available.
Unichip Flux Power Display Feature List
Performance calibration selection from 5 engine performance maps: Allows the user to have and select different engine calibrations based on octane levels or installed aftermarket components. Examples: Different hardware configurations (Map 1 – stock, Map 2 Injen CAI, Map 3 – Injen CAI + Cat/Back, etc…) or for different performance settings (Map 1 – 92 Octane, Map 2 – 100 Octane, Map 3 – 92 Octane + Nitrous 75 shot, etc…).
Bluetooth wireless connection: Anytime the Flux PDA is inside the car, it can communicate with the Unichip wirelessly via Bluetooth TM… The PDA can be dash mounted, sitting on the seat, or in the user’s pocket- anyplace in the car. State and Local Laws may prohibit use while driving.
Vehicle Immobilizer: A PIN protected code prevents the car from being driven when the Vehicle Immobilizer is enabled. The specific mechanization will varies by application, but the car will either not start or will die immediately after starting. UI is essentially identical to a desktop’s screen saver. If someone tries to steal the car, there is no apparent reason (no lights, noises, etc…) why the car is not drivable.
OBD II DTC reading and clearing: The user can read and clear pending and active diagnostic trouble codes. Works the same as individual tools costing hundreds of dollars.
Data logging: The user can select up to six channels of data from a Flux provided list to display and record data like rpm, vehicle speed, intake temperature, coolant temperature, EGT, knock sensor response, ignition timing, fuel trims, transmission slippage, etc… Not all options are available on all applications because some vehicles don’t have the required sensors.
Performance calculation and display:
Flux will calculate, display, record, and export data of horsepower and torque from 2000 rpm through engine red line.
Flux will display a drag strip Christmas tree light sequence and then calculate, display, record, and export reaction time, 60-foot time, elapsed time, and trap speed.
Flux will calculate, display, record, and export 0-60 mph time, 0-100 mph time, 0-60-0 time, 0-100-0 time.
Vehicle adjustments: The user can correct speed reading for aftermarket wheels & tires.
Live data display: The user can monitor various performance parameters in real time on a digital and normalized analog display. The options under live data are the same as those data logging.
