End Level-It Notes

A....34000 needed only if vehicle has 4.56 or lower (numerically higher) axle ratio, corrects ABS signal.

....1997 and newer models with Autotrac require dual cardan driveshaft, shown in options. Non-Autotrac models may also need driveshaft if regularly driven in 4WD over 35 MPH.

...1977½-91 models require clearancing (machining) of the front driveshaft CV cluster to prevent binding. If vehicle has single exhaust, the cross-over pipe requires modification to clear front driveshaft.

....Must have open knuckle front axle and power steering for steering arm or drag link to fit.

...Optional extended length brake hoses recommended.

....If vehicles is equipped with aftermarket torsion bars, substitute part # 3133 for 3103. It does not contain the adjuster arms, but is otherwise identical.

….Ahead of axle.

....With single exhaust, a new, reformed section of exhaust crossover pipe is required to clear front driveshaft.

....Though not as desirable, #2207 C-bushings can be substituted for #1275 (and #1375 bolt kit) radius arm drop brackets for a budget kit.

....1976-77 models with power steering and inverted "Y" steering linkage can convert to 1978-79 inverted "T" style using part #1114, #1115-1, #1115-2, and #1115-3. Also requires #1104 pitman arm. Conversion is recommended for 4" lift, required for 6½" lift.

...If vehicle is equipped with 2wd steering box conversion part number 2480 dropped pitman arm should not be used; use stock Bronco pitman arm.

...If equipped with factory anti-sway bar, the links should be sectioned and lengthened.

...Welding required to install #2475 radius arm drop brackets.

...The pitman arm and track bar bracket combination is a recommended option to provide optimum performance

...If extended length brake hoses are not used, the factory brake hoses and steel lines must be re-routed. Using extended hoses makes for a much simpler and cleaner installation.

...Extra Cab models with two piece driveshaft may experience driveline vibration under acceleration from rubber cased carrier bearing. May require lowering the carrier bearing (full-size) or replacing the driveshaft with a one piece unit (Ranger).

...1985-90 models with tulip type rear driveshaft (has 2 rubber boots) must convert to exposed joint shaft, available from Ford.

...Check vehicle to verify that factory alignment bushings in upper ball joints are zero degree. If they are not, there may not be enough adjustment for proper alignment and 1-2" coils should not be used.

...Although not desirable, it is acceptable to omit pitman arm for a budget kit. Pitman arm required for Superunner steering.

...If equipped with rear anti-sway bar, drop links should be sectioned and lengthened.

...Standard shock is behind axle, auxiliary shock is in front of axle.

...Kit includes front dual shock mounting brackets and 6 shocks with yellow boots (2000 - 06 Tahoe / Yukon have 4 shocks and boots and utilizes stock rear shocks).

...Pitman arm included in kit box.

...Special puller tool is recommended to load / unload torsion bars.

...If equipped with factory steering stabilizer, order (2) #10623 U-bolts.

...Kit box includes track bar bracket.

...If rear shocks' upper mounting studs cannot be reused, order (1) #60460 - pair shock studs.

...Traction bars are strongly recommended with block only rear lift option. The block / add-a-leaf option rides slightly firmer, but controls rear springs wrap up.

...Steel brake lines / rubber hoses must be re-routed.

...CV cluster on front driveshaft requires clearancing (grinding) to prevent binding. #4310 driveshaft spacer will restore full spline contact.

...Behind axle.

...If not using optional sway bar link kit(s), factory sway bar links should be sectioned and lengthened.

...Minor cutting and / or welding required.

...Front brake hose(s) included in kit box.

...Add-a-leaf will not fit vehicles with isolated rear spring (3-15/16" wide U-bolts).

...Rear brake hose included in kit box.

...Amount of lift achieved will vary from truck to truck.

...1 ton extra cab built after 6/1/1993 requires #3223 transfer case support bracket.

...Superunner steering must not be used on lifts in excess of 6".

...Explorer 5½" rear lift uses stock length shocks (brackets are relocated).

...Though not as desirable, #3090 drop drag link can be substituted with steering block #3434 (for 3-bolt Dana 44 axles) OR #3460 (for 4-bolt Dana 60 axles) for a budget kit. However, steering wheel alignment and turning radius will not be adjustable.

...If equipped with 13" rear driveshaft, lengthening may be required.

...Brake line / hose relocating hardware included in kit box.

...If equipped with light duty double offset joint front driveshaft (rubber boot at transfer case end), It must be replaced with Spicer type as used on 4.0 liter in-line 6 cylinder models.

...Both driveshafts need to be lengthened.

...#4310, 1" front driveshaft spacer, can be used instead of lengthening front driveshaft on 1977½-91 models with Saginaw shaft.

...These shocks and steering stabilizers have a small diameter body designed to be used in limited space applications. Order boots for 1.81" cylinders.

...This is a SwampRunner Series lift system that is intended primarily for off-road or exhibition use. Reference the "Important Product Use" section of the Warranty for additional safety related information.

....1980-82 F-250 without reusable shock studs, order (1) #60465 - pair shock studs.

...Will fit vehicles with the Superlift suspension lift system only. If installed on vehicle with out Superlift lift system also purchase part # 14-9600 pair upper shock mounts.

...Cannot reuse factory steering stabilizer.

...Can use 4520 spacer if truck leans.

...Front driveshaft must have 1310 series yoke and CV housing must be machined for clearance.

...When lifted, the stock front driveshaft's life span is considerably reduced; expect a life of 25k to 30k miles. The Superlift replacement shaft is a more "lift friendly" dual cardan design.

...Slip Yoke Eliminator (SYE) kit also requires a new, CV type rear driveshaft. Superlift does not offer these driveshafts due to the multitude of possible driveline configurations. Rubicon models do not require a SYE (they are factory equipped with a fixed-yoke), but Rubicon's with 6" of lift will require a CV type rear driveshaft. Contact your local driveshaft supplier or one of the national drivetrain specialists.

...Slight grinding of lower control arm is required.

...Gas pressurized shock cylinder.

...Models with Autotrac require replacement rear driveshaft, shown in options (PURCHASE ACCESSORIES).

....A small percentage of Jeeps with 4" of lift (except Rubicon model) will require a Slip Yoke Eliminator (SYE) kit to reduce driveshaft angle / driveline vibration; this cannot be determined until the lift is installed, and the Jeep road tested. A SYE kit is required with lifts over 4" (except Rubicon model).

...Rear shock reuses factory upper mounting hardware.

...Special tool is required to remove lower control arm bushings, Superlift offers part # 4544 for a one time use. If more than one installation is expected, purchase tool part # 8682 from SPX-Miller Special Tools at 800-801-5420.
