Hypertech Max Energy Sport Engine Tuning Feature Higher compression ratio or turbo charged engines were designed to use only premium octane, so for those 1 tune is provided. But, if your car came from the factory capable of using more economical regular octane, then two tuning programs are provided.
Hypertech Max Energy Sport set your top speed limit If you have installed tires that have a different speed rating, the Max Energy Sport allows you to raise or lower the vehicle’s top-speed limiter to match the speed rating of the newly installed tires. A tire’s speed rating for maximum safe speed under perfect conditions is marked on its sidewall.
Hypertech Max Energy Sport return to stock at any time Hypertech’s Max Energy Sport downloads and saves the stock tuning program, then uploads your customized Power Tuning program. Before taking your vehicle into a dealership for service, always return the vehicle’s computer back to the factory programming.
Hypertech Max Energy Sport removes your rev limiter Max Energy Sport Power Programmer adjusts the rev limiter so your engine has more power available after gear changes. By adjusting the maximum rpm to keep the engine in the “sweet spot” of its power curve, you increase horsepower.
Hypertech Max Energy Sport reads and clears diagnostic trouble codes If you get a “check engine” light or “service needed” message, the Max Energy Sport will allow you to read the code and give you the ability to clear the code and turn the “check engine” light off. You can then make the necessary repairs to prevent the light from coming back on.
Hypertech Max Energy Sport internet updateable The Max Energy Sport Power Programmer comes with a USB cable to enable quick updates over the internet. If your vehicle has a new calibration not available when your Max Energy Sport Power programmer was manufactured, you can simply update via the internet.
Hypertech Max Energy Sport Vtec controller The VTEC controller engages additional camshaft followers which use a more aggressive camshaft profile. This increases airflow in and out of the engine which increases power output. The Max Energy Sport Power Programmer allows you to adjust the specific engine speed that the VTEC camshaft profile engages to customize the power band of your engine.
