  • Fabtech Suspensions - 4 Link Solid Axle Front 4 Link Solid Axle - Front

For front-to-rear positioning of the axle, Fabtech Four Link Solid Axle incorporates a sturdy drive axle and coil springs and uses two parallel links per side replacing the radius arm. The arms of the 4 link system match its turns from the axle housing, horizontally along the frame-rails, mounting to pivot points on the frame. To reduce the effect on caster and pinion angles, the axle design moves in a specific angle axis. Keeping the axle centered is done by using a track bar.

  • 4 Link Solid Axle - Rear 4 Link Solid Axle - Rear

For front-to-rear positioning of the axle, Fabtech Four Link Solid Rear Axle incorporates a sturdy drive axle and coil springs and uses two parallel links per side replacing the radius arm. The arms of the 4 link rear system match its turns from the axle housing, horizontally along the frame-rails, mounting to pivot points on the frame. To reduce the effect on caster and pinion angles, the axle design moves in a specific angle axis. Keeping the axle centered is done by using a track bar.

  • Leaf Spring Solid Axle Front Leaf Spring Solid Axle - Front

The configuration of the Leaf Spring Solid Axle uses a multiple leaf spring-pack, on every side of the axle housing to place the axle and assist the load of the truck. The leaf springs are attached to a hanger bracket at the one end, turning horizontally along the frame rails, with a pivoting shackle at the opposite end. The axle is located on a precise axis and supports the vehicle's weight. An optional track bar is sometimes used to center the axle on HD trucks.

  • Leaf Spring Solid Axle Rear Leaf Spring Solid Axle - Rear

The Rear Leaf Spring Solid Axle implements a multiple leaf spring-componentry this helps in positioning the axle and assisting the truck load. The leaf springs are attached to a hanger bracket at the one end, turning horizontally along the frame rails, with a pivoting shackle at the opposite end. This popular rear suspension system is used in heavy duty applications. And for additional weight capacity, additional overload and helper leafs that comes from the main spring kit is used

  • Arm Torsion Bar Arm Torsion Bar - 2WD/4WD

Torsion bars are used in place of coil springs with the same SLA configuration and IFS designs. Torsion bars are made of rounded spring steel and are mounted longitudinally along the rails of the frame. The other end of the bar is secured to a frame crossmember while the front is attached to the pivot point of the lower control arm. To set the ride height, the torsion bar rear mount must be preloaded or twisted until the weight of the vehicle is supported by the bar. Increased in spring force is achieved as the suspension travels up and the bar itself is further twisted. Increased ride height is done by preloading the torsion bars. But take note that there are limitations due to suspension travel, the angles of CV joint and alignment capabilities.

  • Arm Torsion Bar Arm Torsion Bar - 2WD/4WD

SLA configuration is also implemented to the Coil sprung IFS design of this system. The ride height is maintained using a coil spring in between the frame and lower control arm. The noise is reduced by using rubber insulators on the coil springs. The load of the vehicle is supported by the lower control arms and the upper arm retains the position of the steering knuckle. With this feature, the steering system is able to turn the knuckles. Tie rods or bump steer is used to achieved steering and to reduce geometry change during travel.
