You Decide When the Torque Converter Locks or Unlocks for Maximum Control!
Command the torque converter to stay locked, stay unlocked, or revert to OEM settings with the BD TorqLoc. Flip the toggle switch to  position one, and the lock-up clutch is engaged, so transmission temperature remains low and the exhaust brake can work with 100% effectiveness (this is a manual setting and should only be selected under light load/light power conditions, such as highway driving).

Position two reverts back to stock function, or can be wired to unlock the torque converter. Position three acts as an AutoLoc by commanding lock-up only when the exhaust brake is engaged - perfect setting for every day driving in all situations.

Additionally, the TorqLoc has an Overdrive “inverter” option which allows the transmission to start out in Drive which will prevent upshift into the Overdrive gear - great for those who live in city/urban areas.  Also, if you have a BD Valve Body with the second gear lock-up capability, the lock-up can be set to hold until 5-10 mph.

The BD AutoLoc is a computer that commands the torque convertor lock-up clutch to stay applied when an exhaust brake is engaged.

The AutoLoc ensures that 100% of the retarding force is being transferred in 3rd and 4th gears, thus, transmission oil temperatures remain low because convertor slippage no longer occurs in these gears. The lock-up clutch and brake automatically disengage at low speeds to prevent stalling and transmission and convertor damage.

The convertor lock up clutch applies with accelerator pedal pressure, and the AutoLoc captures this signal. After shifting out or into overdrive in Dodge trucks, apply heavy accelerator pedal pressure or quickly release the pedal and the lock up clutch will engage. Exhaust brakes cause high automatic fluid temperatures due to the torque converter slippage and without a AutoLoc only 10-80% of the retarding force is transferred through the (unlocked) fluid coupling of a torque convertor.

You can drive the truck with the AutoLoc engaged all the time. If you experience a shutter when you slow down in over drive with the AutoLoc engaged, you need to have the AutoLoc reset to disengage at a higher vehicle speed. However, variances occur due to rear ratios and tire sizes.

Installed inline with the MAP sensor, the Electronic Boost Builder increases boost pressure and intercepts the message to the ECM, preventing it from setting an overboost trouble code that can cost between 50-80 horsepower. Is your performance module causing transmission shudder and clutch slippage? Probably is... Prevent torque converter shudder and clutch slippage on the 2005-2007 Dodge 5.9L with 48RE transmissions by installing the BD 48RE Pressure Controller. Easily plugs inline with factory sealed connectors to the 48RE TTVA motor on the driver's side of the transmission making for a clean installation.

Like its predecessors (47RH/47RE), the 48RE transmission's low mainline pressure at lighter throttle pedal position can cause shudder and slippage. When coupled behind the Common Rail 5.9L Diesel engine with its peak torque at mid-range RPM's, this potential shudder and slippage can be amplified.

When engaged with the rotary switch mounted on the dash, the Pressure Controller has three different levels that can be selected to increase mainline pressure by mimicking higher throttle positions, preventing mid-range convertor shutter and clutch/band slippage.

If the factory speed limiter is hampering performance at the top end of the track, install a BD Speed Eliminator. Available for Dodge-Cummins and Ford 6.0L PowerStroke applications, the Top Speed Eliminator Increases top speed to over 130 mph, and allows adjustment for larger tires. 2000.5-2003 Dodge-Cummins Top Speed Eliminators also remove the torque-limiting function in first gear for more off-the-line power. For 2000.5 - 2003 Dodge Ram's Powered by Cummins Diesels The BD Racer Anti De-fueler over rides the Cummins torque management system that limits a high rate of vehicle performance. When 1/4 mile racing with the Cummins 24 valve engine, the Cummins computer limits the amount of torque put out by the engine. This torque management results in a reduction of power that can be felt as a quick momentary decrease of power throughout first and second gear. This drastically hurts your 1/4 mile time and as well seriously jeopardizes your engines drivetrain.

BD's Racer Anti De-fueler (RAD) applies to most 2000.5 and newer Xtreme Performance automatic trucks used for 1/4 mile racing. A toggle switch is also included for you to select street mode or race.

Don`t shut your hot engine down after a hard run. Switching your engine off after a heavy haul when the exhaust temperature is above normal engine idle temperature can result in turbo bearing damage.

With the engine stopped there is no oil flow over the bearings that support the hot turbocharger wheel assembly. This causes the residue oil being burned and the resulting carbon will cause premature turbo failure.

You can prevent this from happening with the Cool Down Timer or the Cool Engine Shutdown.
  • Simply set the shutdown temperature, lock the door and walk away. The engine will shutdown at the specified temperature.
  • The Cool Down Timer (CDT) works in conjunction with any K-Type exhaust gas temperature (EGT) probe that is common with most analog pyrometer gauge kits. Wire it to an existing EGT probe or install a new one.
  • The Cool Engine Shutdown (CES) works in conjunction with BD`s own digital gauge package, the X Monitor. The CES connects in line between the X Monitor control module and display and also features an audible alarm to coincide with the X Monitor`s visual alarm settings.

This little BD power unit helps tidy up wiring nightmares, allowing for one power source for all your accessories rather than multiple taps into the vehicle's wiring harness. Establish a switched power source for up to 8 optional electronic loads, stereos, electrical control boxes. 40 Amp total load - 5 Amp circuits; 4 switched / 4 constant.

The Power Pod allows you to establish a power source for up to eight optional electronic loads (four switched, four constant) such as stereos, lights, electronic control boxes, GPS and CB radios. The total load is rated at 40 amps with each circuit fused at five amps (fuses included). Each fuse is lit with an LED to let you know if it's good or blown, making diagnostics a breeze.

A BD PressureLoc increases convertor lock-up clutch applied pressure on 1994 to 2001 Dodge trucks by 30% at light throttle pressure. The kit can easily be installed on the stock transmission and assists in preventing convertor shuddering and transmission slippage.

Torque convertor clutch slippage results in high heat and eventual transmission failure! The higher the HP, the lower the transmission line pressure is, because line pressure is controlled by the position of the throttle pedal. The diesel has so much torque at light throttle pedal movement and thus low apply pressure at the lock-up clutch when the engine is at its peak torque!

You can notice a shuddering torque convertor under throttle at low speeds, and also under heavy throttle with high power engines.

The kit’s function is to increase the transmission line pressure when the lock -up clutch is engaged. The PressureLoc cylinder rotates the transmission’s throttle valve shaft to simulate 3/4-throttle travel to increase the line pressure to 90% of what the valve body design can attain at wide open throttle. The resulting pressure must be measured and set when the kits are installed.

The PressureLoc is primarily designed for stock or mildly enhanced engine applications and owners whom have installed an exhaust brake and want some extra protection.

It is not a replacement for a modified valve body!

High horsepower and heavy-loaded applications should also be equipped with the BD Valve Body with larger porting for pressures up to 180 psi.

The PressureLoc increases the clutch applied pressure to 90% of what the valve body is capable of achieving at full throttle when you are only at ¼ to ¾ throttle travel. This kit addresses the need for more clutch holding pressure.

This pressure increase remains within the valve body design. The stock valve body has 4.0 G.P.M flow when the torque convertor is locked up with the PresureLoc engaged. Without the pressure lock engaged, this pressure will be 4.0 G.P.M or less, depending on throttle pressure.

The TOWLOC is BD's new programmable transmission and convertor control designed for exhaust brake applications; the most powerful transmission control yet.

The TOWLOC monitors the operation of the vehicle speed, engine speed and engine load to compute the optimum transmission control algorithm. This process controls transmission downshifting as well as torque convertor operation for optimum results. You can also customize the unit for the ultimate transmission control for working your truck with an exhaust retarder and a higher performance engine.

The TowLoc comes preset with all of the following features but can be modified by a BD accredited Diamond installation facility or by an at home technical buff with a personal computer.The electronics are packaged in weather resistant enclosure for the engine compartment that taps into 10 -12 sources for control and sensing.
  • Engine brake disengage speed to reduce noise and engine load at idle
  • Torque converter lock up engagement speed to prevent low vehicle speed chugging with the torq lock-up engaged
  • Programmable automatic 4th to 3rd downshift
